How did you start surfing: Zippy Board 1st. My brother owned a purple Joe Larkin. We (he) use to drag it over to the beach at Bilinga until I was good enough to hit the points.

Competition strategy: Have a halfie, find the take off, look for a barrel, don't fall off, have fun, I'm a bit over the serious stuff these days.
Career highlight: 1986 Aust Longboard Title. Making the final of the Wintersun Old Mal Comp.
Ambitions: To develop night vision. Take the kids on an endless holiday.
